Type: Glazed, inlaid, plastic clay floor tile.
 
Description: Treacle-glazed tile from a panel of four with a repeating pattern forming a circle and a grotesque, grinning face with maker's marks and twelve stabbed holes to the verso.
 
Design: Repeating circular pattern of scrolling forms with grotesque face at centre and with foliate spandrels.
 
Colours: Brown and honey/buff.
 
Dimensions: 5" x 5" x 3/4" (126 mm x 126 mm x 17 mm)
 
Condition: Good with some surface marks (see photos).
