Malvern, Tewkesbury & Ledbury

An early start with only a brief a pause to look at the Malvern Hills before arriving in Tewkesbury to plunder whatever antique shops, charity shops and salvage yards I can find.

The first thing I notice is a shop window with a magnificent cast-iron, grotesque hopper and an encaustic tile with a Pugin design in the window. I desire them both but it's Saturday and the office is closed and they are probably not for sale anyway.

Then on to shopping and some good finds around town (see photos below). A short drive to Ledbury where I buy a scrolling vine border tile with "Godwin Lugwardine Hereford" clearly stamped to the rear.

And Lugwardine just happens to be my next destination.
